PLEASANTON — Marmaton Valley High’s boys finished fourth in the team standings of the Pleasanton High Invitational track meet Tuesday.
Shawn Storrer  claimed second place in the javelin with a throw of 141 feet. Wildcat teammate Josh Kale was sixth at 128’7”.
Zach Louk placed second in the 800-meter run in 2 minutes, 10.72 seconds. He ran third in the 1600-meter race in 4:58.72.
In the 400-meter dash, Tanner McNutt earned the silver medal in 54.51 seconds and Jacob Conkling was fifth in 59.52. Daylen Houk placed fourth in the 200-meter dash in 25.51 seconds.
Chase Dudley was fourth in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles in 52.59 seconds.  Marmaton Valley’s 4×800-meter relay team of Louk, Carlos Gonzales, Lucas Hamlin and Storrer was third in 9:43.
McNutt was the silver medalist in the triple jump with a leap of 37’8”. Gonzales was fourth in the event at 33’7”. Houk took fifth in the long jump at 18’41⁄4”.
The Wildcat 4×100-meter relay team of Gonzales, McNutt, Houk and Skyler Houk was fourth in 48.74 seconds. Conkling, Gonzales, Storrer and McNutt combined for a fourth-place time of 4:00.87 in the 4×400-meter relay race.
Mercedes Trollope was Marmaton Valley’s only girl placing in the meet. Trollope took the bronze medal in the triple jump with a leap of 27’81⁄2”.
A boys’ weight relay team of Kale, Dudley, Kaleb Stroud and Devon Boyd was second in 1:02.
Marmaton Valley’s athletes go to the Waverly High Invitational Monday.
