Louk is TRL champion

BURLINGTON — For the third time in four years, Marmaton Valley High’s Zach Louk is the Three Rivers League individual cross country champion.
Marmaton Valley High’s cross country runners competed in the Burlington High Invitational, which triples as a league meet for both Three Rivers League and Tri-Valley League teams.
Louk was the overall winner of the varsity boys’ 5K race last Thursday. His winning time was 17 minutes, 58 seconds.
Louk was the TRL champion as a freshman and a sophomore. He was second last year.
Chance Stevenson finished 15th overall and was third in the TRL in 19:58. Garrett Booth placed 12th in the league, finishing the race in 22:34.
Ashtynn Louk took 33rd overall in the girls’ varsity 4K race in 19:57. She was sixth in the TRL standings.
Marmaton Valley prepares for the Kansas Class 2A Regional cross country race this Saturday at Mound City.
