Maggie Wilson was lonely. There was no one within three feet of her and in the pole vault that’s pretty alone.
Iola High’s senior made it three Southeast Kansas League pole vault championships in a row. Competing in her final track meet at home Thursday, Wilson won the event at 11 feet. Second-place Emily Hicks cleared eight feet.
Iola junior Kelsey Larson became the 2011 SEK 400-meter dash champion. She pulled away from the field to win in 62.08 seconds.
The Fillies finished in third place in the 2011 Southeast Kansas League meet. They scored 100 points.
