COLONY — Crest High’s Avery Blaufuss was dominant on the mound Monday.
He allowed just two hits and struck out eight batters in a 15-0 romp over Oswego.
Funny thing was, Blaufuss may have been Crest’s second-best pitcher on the day.
Sophomore Trevor Church tossed a no-hitter while striking out 10 in Crest’s 10-0 victory in the opener.
The sweep keeps the Lancer Express on the right track at 10-0 on the season.
Crest led 3-0 after two innings in the opener before busting the game open in the middle innings.
Stratton McGhee went 2-for-3 with a double to pace the offense. Holden Barker blasted a triple, while Blaufuss had a single and two RBIs. Tyson Hermreck also singled.
Jack White and Rogan Weir both had RBIs as well.
THE LANCERS took control early in the nightcap as well, scoring six times in the first, four in the second and five in the third behind Blaufuss’s gem.
Barker had two hits, including a triple to lead the offense. Ryan Golden singled twice with three RBIs. McGhee doubled with an RBI; Tyson also had a double. Church had a single and RBI. Stetson Setter also had a single.
The Lancers are back in action Thursday at home against Yates Center.
