EUREKA — Southern Coffey County High’s Lady Titans opened the 2010 volleyball season in the Eureka High quadrangular Thursday.
The Lady Titans dropped a 25-22, 25-18 decision to Olpe. They came back to win 25-20, 25-14 over Flinthills. They lost 25-23, 25-18 to host Eureka.
Sam Jacob delivered 26 kills for the night along with 22 digs and four serving aces. Brooke Scheele was credited with 28 set assists.
Jenna Witteman came up with 28 digs. Ashton Isch had 18 digs and 10 kills.
Kristen Stephens had eight kills and went 17 of 17 at the service line. Keasha Parks served 10 of 10 and had 18 set assists.
“It was a tough schedule to start the season with as Eureka (3A) and Olpe (2A) have state quality teams,” said Korey Lankton, SCCH head coach. “We were pleased with several things and there are aspects we need to improve.”
