Lady Titans come up short at Madison

MADISON — A gloomy third quarter did in Southern Coffey County High’s girls Tuesday.

The Lady Titans came back from an early deficit before host Madison outscored SCC 23-8 in the third period of a 59-42 victory.

The loss drops the Lady Titans to 2-3. Southern Coffey County hosts Lebo on Friday.

“We did not take care of the ball against their press, which allowed them to stretch their lead in the third quarter,” Southern Coffey County head coach Jeff True said.

Brittne Brite led the Lady Titans with 10 points, followed by Breanna Isch with nine points and seven rebounds. Kalyn Deal also scored nine. Amanda Sherwood scored eight. Chenae Newkirk had four steals and five assists. Miranda Alumbaugh added five assists.
