The Crest High School Lady Lancers Cinderella run to the state tournament came to an end Wednesday in Dodge City with a 76-27 loss to undefeated Little River.

The Lady Redskins jumped out to a 19-6 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back, going into halftime ahead 46-17.

Senior guard Karlee Boots scored a team-leading 9 points for the Lady Lancers, followed by senior forward Cursten Allen with 7 and junior Aylee Beckmon with four. Beckmon also had a team-leading six rebounds and three steals.

With the win, Little River advances to face Quinter (23-3), who advanced to the state tournament semifinals with a 65-54 victory over South Gray (23-3). Should they advance from the semifinals, the Redskins will face the winner of the other semifinals game featuring Centralia (20-0) and Troy (22-1).

With the loss, Crest finishes the season 15-8 and third in the Three Rivers Conference at 9-2. With only Allen and Boots graduating in May, look for the Crest Lady Lancers to make another state run when they return to the hardwood next November.
