HUMBOLDT — Humboldt High’s offense dried up after intermission Friday.
The Lady Cubs scored 14 points in the first half, but could manage only four after intermission. Visiting Eureka took advantage in a 65-18 win.
“We did some things right in the first half,” Humboldt head coach Jeff Wilkerson said. “I was pleased with our aggressiveness in the first half.”
Eureka put the game away with a 27-4 run spanning the third and fourth quarters.
Taylyn Wells scored six to lead Humboldt.
Bailee Barrett, Kathleen McKenzie and Ashlen Schwartz scored 17, 14 and 11 points, respectively for Eureka.
Humboldt travels to Fredonia Tuesday before hosting Fredonia again next Friday in a makeup contest.
