The Marmaton Valley Junior High girls’ basketball team wrapped up a 13-0 undefeated season on Monday with a 41-10 blowout win at home over Altoona-Midway.

The Wildcats led 15-4 after the first quarter and extended that by four by halftime. A 9-2 third quarter stretched Marmaton Valley’s lead to 28-6 heading into the fourth quarter and a 13-4 final period closed things out.

Janae Granere led the way with 12 points followed by nine for Nasha Gregory, seven for Payton Scharff and four each for Madison Lawson and Katie Bigelow. Raveyn Kegler and Emma Schmidt each had two and Roslyn Houk had a point.

The Wildcat girls will have the next several months off before middle school track season starts at the beginning of April.
