COLUMBUS — The Iola Soccer Club’s A-team notched an 8-0 win over Columbus last Sunday.
Calob Mock and Zane Beasely each kicked in two goals for Iola. Zach St. Clair, Devan Herfurth, Kendall Jay and Colby Works each scored a goal.
Mock, Mason Key and Works were credited an assist apiece. Tyler Holloway and St. Clair played in goal to combine for the shutout.
The Iola B-team plays in the Chanute soccer league starting today.
On Sunday, the Iola teams host Coffeyville. The first game is at 3 p.m. at the Iola Davis Fields, north of Riverside Park.
