Iola basketball camps are on tap

Youth basketball camps offered by Iola High’s Fillies and Mustangs are next week.
IHS girls’ head coach Becky Carlson announced the camps for both girls and boys. Cost of the camps is $25 per student.
The camps run Monday thorugh Thursday.
For boys and girls in first through third grades, the camp will be from 1 to 3 p.m. each day. Camp sessions are at the Recreation Community Building in Riverside Park.
Also from 1 to 3 p.m. each day, girls in fourth through sixth grade will be at Iola High School’s gym while the boys in fourth through sixth grade are at Iola Middle School.
Carlson said IHS basketball players along with new Mustang head basketball coach Bill Peepers are working the youth camps.
Girls who will be in seventh and eighth grade next year will have a camp session from 10 a.m. to noon each day. That will be under Carlson at the high school.

Peeper said the Mustang high school team camp will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday through Thursday next week. That will be at IHS.
The Fillies high school team camp is June 14-17. It will be from 8 to 11 a.m. at IHS.
