BURLINGTON — Iola Middle School’s seventh-graders remained perfect in Pioneer League play Thursday, defeating host Burlington 26-23.
The 10-0 Mustang squad is guaranteed at least a share of the league title, with home games remaining against Prairie View Monday and Santa Fe Trail Thursday.
The other Iola squads weren’t as successful.
The seventh-grade B team dropped a 16-4 decision. Iola’s eighth-grade team, lost, 36-2.
