IMS golfers hit the links

In less than ideal conditions, Iola Middle School golfers contended with gusty north wind and chilly temperatures at the IMS Invitational Wednesday. The tournament was hosted by Allen County Country, with a pair of Mustang golfers earning top-six finishes.

Iola Middle School golfers contended with cool, blustery conditions Wednesday as part of the IMS Invitational at Allen County Country Club.

Iola’s Brennen Coffield carded a 48, good for fourth place, on the nine-hole course.

Kyndal Bycroft had the sixth best score among the girls, scoring a 64.

Boys: Baron Folk, 52; Jordan Kaufman, 59; Roper Curry, 65; Logan Yocham, 66; Trevor Tatman, 66. Girls: Aurora Collins, 70; and Harper Desmarteau, 70.

Others golfing for Iola, but not recording scores were Isaac Hopkins, Alex Donnelly, Everett Glaze, Bryce Walden, Briley Prather and Parker Andres.

The Mustang golfers head to Pittsburg Monday.
