CHANUTE — Iola High freshmen Trevor Tatman and Ethan Harris took to the links Thursday at a junior varsity golf tournament in Chanute.
Tatman tied for 11th, shooting a 57 over nine holes, while Harris shot a 65, good for 20th.
Iola head coach Jeremy Sellman came away impressed and proud of the pair’s improvement.
“Trevor is doing well and his ability is improving every day,” Sellman said. “Ethan is a first-year kid and he is working hard. This is his best finish so far.”
Tatman and Harris will join the varsity golfers at a tournament in Parsons on Thursday.
“This will be a real test,” Sellman said, noting it will be the first varsity experience for both.
