FORT SCOTT — Iola High’s freshmen had a tough go of it in the second round of Fort Scott High’s freshman basketball tournament Wednesday.
The Fillies lost 43-28 to Jayhawk-Linn. Alexa Fawson led the Fillies with 11 points.
Abbey St. Clair added four points. Scoring three points each were Chanel Coyne, Reagan Ford and Emily Ware. Breanna Stout scored two and Libby Shay had one point.
The Mustang freshmen lost 56-38 to Chanute. Mason Coons paced the Mustangs with 15 points followed by Levi Ashmore with 14 points.
Devon Conner and Tyler Clubine each had four points. Eli Grover had two points.
Tonight, the teams conclude their seasons in the final of the round-robin event.
The Fillies play Fort Scott at Fort Scott High School while the Mustangs take on Jayhawk-Linn at Buck Run Community Center.
Both games tipoff at 5 o’clock.
