The Iola High Booster Club held its annual golf tournament last Saturday at Allen County Country Club.
Winning the A flight was the team of Ken McGuffin, Kevin McGuffin, Craig Smith and Johnny Riley with a 58.
It came down to a scorecard playoff for second in A flight. Ken Taiclet, Dan Creitz, Denny Creitz and Danny Creitz finished tied with the Walmart team of Todd VanEssen, Chris Holloway, Randy Hurlock and Tim Stinnett. Both teams shot a 59.
In B flight, Gates No. 1 with Dennis Harding, Tim Wools, Tim Hoffman and Obinna Eregbu claimed first place with a 64. Carding a 66 was the team of Dave Sager, Janet Sager, Paula Sutherland and Drew Sutherland.
Third place in B flight went to Gates No. 2. The team of Wayne Riebel, Wayne Dunn, Cliff Thummel and Steve Guffy shot a 67.
There were 13 teams in the tournament.
Funds raised go to pro-jects for athletic and other activities for Iola High School students.
