The Humboldt track and field team competed at Neodesha on Monday and the Cub boys came away with third place out of 12 teams while the girls got seventh.
Tucker Hurst went one, two, three in three throwing events. He won the javelin with a throw of 1613, took second in the discus with a distance of 1365 and took third in the shot put with a throw of 429.
Isiah Coronado took first in the 400 with a time of 54.38 and Seth Barlow took first in the 800 with a time of 2:09.
The 4×800 team of Barlow, Drake Harrington, Drew Wilhite and Isiah Coronado also took first with a time of 9:01.
Luke Yokum took second in the 3200 with a time of 11:34.67 and fifth in the 1600 (5:13).
Colton Johnson took third in the high jump with a jump of 56.
Harrington placed fifth in both the long jump (187.5) and the 400 (56.03).
Thane Meadows finished fifth in the 110-meter hurdles while Drew Wilhite took sixth in the 1600 (5:22.96) and Caleb Coronado took sixth in the 800 (2:24).
The 4×400 team of Harrington, Barlow and Caleb and Isiah Coronado all took fifth with a time of 3:55.
Savanna Puckett led the way for the Lady Cubs after taking third in the 400 (1:06.93).
Jessica Myers placed fourth in both the long jump (154) and the high jump (46) while Brianna Baker took fifth in the 1600 (6:52.52).
Emma Johnson took sixth in the 800 (2:50.79).
The 4×400 team of Myers, Madi White, Johnson and Puckett took second with a time of 4:45 and the 4×800 relay team of the same four took fifth with a time of 11:45.
The Cubs will host their home track meet today starting at 3:15.
