HUMBOLDT — Move over gentlemen.
Laura Ramey ran second two weeks in a row in Humboldt Speedway’s pure stock feature races. Last Friday, Ramey held off Jeremy Willard down the stretch and took the checkered flag.
It was Ramey’s first feature win at the Speedway. She had run fourth in her heat race Friday.
Willard came from the back of the pack to take second place. Eddie Coulter finished third followed by Josh Thomas and Mike Aiello.
The Show Me Late Model Series made a stop at Humboldt Friday. The drivers showed the local racing fans plenty of quality racing on the local dirt track.
There were four heat races followed by two B feature races before the A main feature race. There were 22 late models in the starting lineup for the A feature.
Dustin Mooneyham drove to the victory, racking in the $1,000 to win. Justin Wells, who had won the five previous feature races, had a strong runner-up finish. Mooneyham and Wells each won the B feature races.
Randy Zimmerman came across in third place. Rex Merritt and Chuck Comer rounded out the top five.
Jesse Folk Jr. and Justin Folk are brothers. They have a business together. They work on each other’s race cars.
But on the track, it’s racing. Jesse Jr. held off Justin to capture the checkered flag for the modified victory. Dan Daniels was third followed by Chris Deaton and John Allen.
Ron Bolin claimed the B-Mod feature race. In the race, Jay Lamons Jr. and Bolin were battling for the lead but Lamons slipped out of the groove and hit the wall in turn No. 2.
Levi McGowen took sec- ond place in the B-Mod race. Tim VanGotten placed third followed by Jimmie Davis and Jerry Kustanborter.
In the factory stock feature, Tyler James broke a dry spell in a commanding win in the race. John Rosson finished second followed by Derrek Wilson, Billy Shadden and Colton Bunn.
