Humboldt softball remains undefeated

HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt Lady Cubs continued to roll in 15-0 and 6-0 wins on Monday night against Eureka.
Courtney Richey got the win in both games, not allowing a hit in either game. In game one, she pitched four innings, gave up no runs, no hits, two walks and had 12 strikeouts. In game two, she gave up no runs, no hits, had one walk and 14 strikeouts.
Powerful bats led the Lady Cubs to its 15-0 win in game one. Richey and Delaney Umholtz each had a home run in the game. Mallory Roush led the team with four RBIs, hitting a single and double. Breanna Kline hit a single, two doubles and had an RBI. Jaci Ross had a single and two RBIs. Brook Turner and Rylan Wilhite each had a single. Sabrina Arell had two singles.
Umholtz helped get the offense going in game two. She had two singles, a double and two RBIs. Richey had a single, triple and an RBI. Ross had two singles and an RBI. Roush had two singles. Kline hit a single and had three stolen bases.
Humboldt (6-0) hosts Yates Center on Thursday.
