HUMBOLDT — Humboldt High’s track team hosted a youth track meet on Saturday morning.
The meet featured students attending elementary schools in Humboldt, Girard, Fredonia and Liberty.
Fredonia’s third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade boys placed first in their respective divisions. Girard’s first and second grade boys earned first place as a team.
In the girls 800-meter sprint medley, Fredonia placed first with a time of 2:18.12 while Girard took second place with a time of 2:19.05.
In the boys 800-meter sprint medley, Fredonia won first place with a mark of 2:23.68.
In the girls 75-meter hurdles, Girard’s Quinn Clevenger took first place in 16.76 seconds.
In the boys 75-meter hurdles, Girard’s Owen Glover took first place with a time of 15.97 seconds while Liberty’s Micah Coltrane placed second in 17.79 seconds.
In the girls shot put, Fredonia’s Carleigh Compton won first place with a throw of 30’ 10”. Fredonia’s Kanyn Hawn took second place with a throw of 22’ 5” and Humboldt’s Jadey Ellis took third place with a mark of 21’ 2”.
In the boys shot put, Humboldt’s Cayden Jones won first place with a throw of 25’ 8” while Fredonia’s Jaydon Cline took second place at 25’ 7”. Humboldt’s Ruger Kovacic took third place at 21’ 2.50”.
In the girls javelin, Fredonia’s Compton took first place with a throw of 73’ 2.25” and Girard’s Charlotte Burke got second place with a throw of 58’ 11.75”. Humboldt’s Weilert took third place, 57’ 3”, and Ellis got fourth place at 52’ 2”.
In the boys javelin, Fredonia’s Cline won first place at 66 feet while Girard’s Cy Senecaut took second place with a throw of 62’ 7’ and Fredonia’s Roper Frank got third place at 60’ 9”.
In the girls long jump, Fredonia’s Carleigh Compton won first place with a leap of 12’ .50” and Kinzley Evans took second place with a jump of 10’ 11.75”. Girard’s Abi Jubber got third place with a throw of 10’ 8”.
In the boys long jump, Humboldt’s Cason Applegate won first place with a distance of 12’ 3.50” while Girard’s Glover took second place with a leap of 12’ 3”. Fredonia’s Zeke Sims took third place with a distance of 12’ 0.25”. Gunderman took fourth with a jump of 11’ 6.25”.
In the girls discus, Humboldt’s Haylie Anderson won first place, 44’ 6”, Kaylynn Olson took second place, 36’ 8”, and Peyton Weilert got third place, 31’ 8”.
In the boys discus, Humboldt’s Jones earned first place with a throw of 53’ 5”, Girard’s Senecaut took second place, 48’, 7”, and Humboldt’s Kovacic took third place, 31’ 3”.
