HUMBOLDT Humboldt hosted its home track meet on Thursday and the Cub boys won the meet and the girls, who were missing some key contributors, took 10th.
Also competing at the meet were Iolas junior varsity, Marmaton Valley, Crest and Southern Coffey County.
Iola finished seventh on both sides. Marmaton Valley took eighth in the girls and ninth in the boys. Crest finished fifth in the girls and 13th in the boys and Southern Coffey County finished third in the boys and ninth in the girls.
All of the schools will compete in their respective league meets on Thursday. Iola will travel to Osawatomie for the Pioneer League Meet, Humboldt will go to Cherryvale for the Tri-Valley League meet, Crest and Marmaton Valley will go to Yates Center for the Three Rivers League meet and Southern Coffey County will travel to Emporia for the Lyon County League meet.
Humboldt
The Cub boys were led by senior Tucker Hurst who took first in the javelin (1619) and the shot put with a distance of 442 which was a personal record. He also took second in the discus with a throw of 13210.
Isiah Coronado won the 800 with a time of 2:07.41 before taking second in the 100 (11.65).
Drew Wilhite won the 1600 with a time of 5:02 and took third in the 3200 (11:38.54).
Luke Yokum took second in the 3200 (11:28.24) and third in the 1600 (5:11). Seth Barlow took second in the 800 with a time of 2:08.01 which was a personal record.
Drake Harrington won the 400 (54.47) and took third in the long jump with a distance of 198. Colton Johnson took third in the high jump with a height of 56.
The 4×400 team of Barlow, Caleb Coronado, Isiah Coronado and Harrington won with a time of 3:44.65. The 4×800 team of Coronado, Wilhite, Yokum and Harrington won the 4×800.
On the girls side, Emma Johnson set a personal record in both the 1600 (6:16) and the 3200 (14:13.73) and took second and fourth.
Savanna Puckett took fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:05.65.
The 4×400 team of Jessica Myers, Zoey Wilson, Johnson and Puckett took third with a time of 4:34.23 and the 4×800 team of Myers, Wilson, Taylor Korte and Madi White took fourth (11:34.49).

The Fillies were led by a first-place finish in the 3200 by Averie Sharon (13:26.17).
