HUMBOLDT — Humboldt Middle School’s boys were clicking from start to finish.
The Cub A team rolled past Neodesha, 55-21, with three players scoring in double figures.
Conor Haviland led the way with 16 points and six rebounds. Gunner Haviland was next with 13 points and four boards. Jackson Aikins added 12 points. Briar Orth had 5 points, Josh Hull 4 points and six rebounds, Stanley Todd 4 points and Drake Hottenstein 1 point.
“We had our best night shooting,” head coach Jeremy Weilert said. The Cubs shot 51 percent from the floor, 50 percent from 3-point range. “This was a total team effort. Any time we can get three players in double figures, we are going to be successful.”
The B team brought home a 29-22 win, avenging a one-point loss to Neodesha in January.
Drake Sellman had his best game of the season, Weilert said, with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Briar Orth followed with 5 points, Jacob Grzybowski 4 and Blake Walker 2. Thane Meadows pulled in four rebounds.
“Drake’s 18 points were great, but his 15 rebounds were critical to our success,” Weilert said.
The C team was dominating in a 19-2 victory.
Stanley Todd racked up 20 rebounds to go with 6 points. Titan Michael had 4 points and five steals. Thane Meadows had 4 points, Tanner Church 3 points and three rebounds, Reid Smith 2 points and six steals and Trenton Booe six rebounds.
