BELOIT — Marmaton Valley High’s Skyler Houk and Southern Coffey County High’s Chyler Ludolph played for the East All-Stars in last Saturday’s Eight-Man Division I All-Star football game.
The West scored two touchdowns and had two two-point conversions in the fourth quarter to win 32-24. The East had scored two touchdowns in the third quarter to take an 18-16 lead. The West outscored the East 16-6 in the final period.
Houk, a 6-4, 190-pound defensive end, finished his high school career playing the entire all-star game on the defensive side of the football. Ludolph, a 6-1 tight end, saw a lot of action as an offensive lineman.
Houk, the son of Kent Houk and Sue Tinkey, has signed a letter of intent to play football at Fort Scott Community College this fall. He is majoring in engineering.
Ludolph is the son of Chad and Brenda Ludolph. He plans to major in nuclear engineering at Kansas State University.
In the Eight-Man Division II All-Star game, the West beat the East 56-32.
