GALESBURG — Humboldt Middle School has five league track and field champions roaming its halls this spring.
The occasion was the 2021 Tri-Valley League meet, hosted by Galesburg on May 4.
Humboldt’s winners were Kyler Isbell, who won the eighth-grade boys discus, and Logan Page, who won the eighth-grade boys shot put.
McKenna Jones won the 3200-meter run for the eighth-grade girls, while Victoria Melendez won the seventh-grade girls 3200.
Braxton Gray won the seventh-grade boys 800-meter run as well.
As a team, Humboldt’s seventh-grade girls and eighth-grade boys both took home third place. The Cub seventh-grade boys and eighth-grade girls both secured fourth.
