FREDONIA — It was a successful night on the hardwood for Humboldt Middle School’s boys Thursday as the Cubs swept past host Fredonia in all three games.
The A team took an early lead and maintained it from there in a 41-33 win.
The Cubs B team had things well in hand from the start, winning, 26-6.
And in C team play, Humboldt rolled 9-4 in a two-quarter affair.
Weston Johnson was the catalyst for Humboldt’s A team with 12 points and eight rebounds. Connor Newman followed with 10, while Kolton Hanson scored nine. Blayden McGuire and Ty Shaughnessy scored four each. Bentlee Anderson had two.
“It was a great team win,” Cub head coach Jeremy Weilert said.
Zane Sanchez led the way in the B team win, scoring 14. Envy Oberbeck added four, Mason Miller three, Riley Lassman and Owen Works two each and Tucker Wrestler one.
Oberbeck also paced the Cub C team with five points. Breckin Guenther and Anderson each scored two.
