Golfers from near and far will tee off Saturday for a good cause, the 16th annual Father’s Day CASA Tournament.
Proceeds will benefit the Court Appointed Special Advocates program, which trains volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the Kansas courts system.
The golf tournament serves as the one of the key fundraisers this year for CASA.
“It’s a great program,” golfer Ken Nelson said. “It’s a much-needed thing.”
Sharla Miller of Farm Bureau Financial Services agrees.
“The work CASA does for the children of our community is so important,” she said.
Several four-man teams will tee off at Allen County Country Club Friday morning, with a number of prizes and games planned along the way, but with the thoughts of helping children in the forefront.
