Frank Martin, head coach of Kansas State University men’s basketball, will be among the guest speakers at the alumni/student/Catbacker banquet in Iola June 15.
In the morning, there will be a Power Catbackers of Southeast Kansas golf tournament.
The banquet begins with a social hour at 5 p.m. followed at 6 with dinner, program and an auction at the American Legion, 712 W. Patterson.
John Currie, director of K-State Athletics, also will speak. Other campus guests will be Jeff Morris, vice president of communications and marketing; Lon Floyd, development officer and director of Catbacker clubs, K-State Athletics; Darchelle Martin, associate director of alumni programs, K-State Alumni Associ-ation; Breana Boger, K-State admissions representative; and Voice of the Wildcats Wyatt Thompson.
Class of 2010 and 2011 high school students plus community college transfer students in attendance will receive a free K-State T-shirt. Scholarship drawings will benefit high school seniors and community college students who will be attending K-State in the fall.
Check-in for the golf tournament is at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon. Proceeds benefit the Ahearn Fund for Athletics, Floyd said.
