Fillies drop both in Burlington

The Iola Fillies volleyball team was unable to muster a win on Tuesday night in Burlington.

Iola fell in a tightly contested match to Burlington in three sets by scores of 26-24, 16-25, and 23-25. The Fillies did receive a boost with the return of Becca Sprague, who led the attack with six kills. Hannah Gardner led the back line with 19 digs, and was 17/18 on her serves. Ally Ellis set up her teammates by providing  six assists. 

In the Fillies’ first match of the evening against Santa Fe Trail, they lost in two sets by scores of 25-11 and 25-17. Sprague, Jenna Curry, Lauryn Holloway, and Jocelyn Erbert combined for eight kills. Chloe Sell added five assists. 

The Fillies play at Santa Fe Trail Tuesday.
