WINFIELD — Iola High’s Keira Fawson dropped her opening match of the Class 4A State Tennis Tournament Friday in tough fashion.
The Mustang senior fell in straight sets to Sara Smith of Clay Center, 7-6 (7-5) and 6-3.
The defeat drops Fawson into the consolation bracket.
Her second-round match was not completed by press time.
