The livestock were some pretty tough foes to handle Friday and Saturday at the Allen County Fair Rodeo.
In the three riding competition, barebacks, saddle broncs and bullriding, only one competitor in each of the competitions managed to stay on board the full eight seconds.
The rest were sent sprawling — some spectacularly — to the ground.
Wathena’s Matt Boos scored 78 points for his turn in the bullriding, the only completed ride. Josh Anstrom won the saddle bronc, with his score of 74. Tyler Pasour made it in barebacks to win that competition.
The rodeo was presented by C.R. McKellips Rodeo, and sanctioned by the United Rodeo Association and the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association.
