Clint Bowyer, right, celebrates with his crew after winning at Martinsville. Apparently, that celebration lasted for several days.

NASCAR THIS WEEK

1. Bowyer’s celebration

Days after winning the race at Martins-ville Speedway, Clint Bowyer, 38, was still in party mode. Bowyer, who asked for a beer in Victory Lane, sent out hints here and there through social media that the party was still going. “I’m too old for this (bleep),” he tweeted.

2. Playing nice

The Martinsville race was a bit boring. Three drivers dominated three different stages, and for a short-track race, it was pretty tame. Of the four caution periods, only one was for any contact on the racetrack. That’s ho-hum compared with the 2017 fall race’s 11 cautions.

3. Losing control

Ron Devine lost control of the Cup Series team he created, BK Racing, which ESPN.com.fi fields a car for Gray Gaulding. The court appointed a trustee to manage BK Racing’s finances. “I don’t know if I will stay involved in it or go in another direction,” Devine told ESPN.com.
