Eagles win big

Uniontown High’s Eagles rocked Neodesha High’s Bluestreaks in non-league softball play Monday.

The Eagles won 16-0 in three innings, scoring 10 runs in the second inning.

Taylor Wade threw a one-hit shutout for the Eagles. She struck out two.

Uniontown only had two hits — a single apiece from Torrie Hathaway and Jamie Dawson. The Eagles benefited from seven walks and four hit batters.

Wade limited the Bluestreaks to two hits in the second game. The Eagles won 17-1 in five innings.

Wade issued two walks, hit a batter and struck one out. She is 8-1 on the season and the Eagles are 14-2 overall.

Wade hit a triple and a single in the game while Mandie Ridge and Dawson each had a double and a single.

Sabrena McAnulty tripled. Lakin Coyan, Tayler Shook and Amber Bartlett each had a single.

Uniontown goes to Humboldt on May 3.
