Eagles split doubleheader

NEODESHA — Uniontown High’s baseball team split a non-league doubleheader with host Neodesha High’s Bluestreaks Friday.
The Eagles battled the Bluestreaks through seven innings in the opener. Uniontown scored five runs in the seventh to break a 7-7 tie.
The Eagles held the Bluestreaks to just one run in the bottom of the seventh and won 12-8.
The Eagles had scored three in the third to get to 4-3 and scored four runs in the fifth.
Uniontown led 7-5 after five innings. The Blue-streaks tied the game in the sixth.
Anthony Myers was the winning pitcher for the Eagles. He gave up 11 hits, walked one and struck out four.
Tyler Hall hit two doubles and two singles for the Eagles. Max Labbe had three singles. Ty Clayton had two doubles.
Hitting two singles each were Jordan Woods, Myers and Kyle Mills. Austin Jefferis had a double and a single.
The Eagles led 4-0 after 21⁄2 inings. The Bluestreaks scored 13 runs in their half of the third on the way to a 17-4 win in five innings.
Robinson, Clayton and Tyler Davidson  pitched for the Eagles.
Clayton had a double. Hall, Labbe and Myers each had a single.
