NEODESHA — Uniontown High’s baseball team got run-ruled in back-to-back non-league games Monday by Neodesha High’s Bluestreaks.
Neodesha won 18-8 in five innings in the opener. John Kuns and Austin Jefferis pitched for the Eagles. They combined to give up 11 hits and three walks plus hit two batters.
Jordan Woods had three doubles to lead Uniontown. Joe Barbosa had a double and triple and both drove in two runs.
Chase Gleason had two singles. Hitting a single each were Max Labbe, Mitch Newman, Jefferis and Jacob Duffey.
Uniontown scored four runs in the first inning of the second game. The Eagles didn’t score again but the Bluestreaks did, winning 19-4 in four innings.
Woods, Labbe and Garrett Murrow worked off the mound for Uniontown. They issued six walks, hit three batters and allowed eight hits.
Labbe, Woods and Daulton Fuhrman each had a double in the game. Jefferis and Gleason hit a single apiece.
The Eagles play at Humboldt on Thursday.
