FRONTENAC — Uniontown High’s Eagles and Marmaton Valley High’s Wildcats collected hardware at Thursday’s Frontenac High Invitational track meet.
Trenton Miller of Uniontown won the boys’ discus with a throw of 128 feet, 10 inches. He placed fifth in the shot put.
Marmaton Valley’s Zach Louk claimed two bronze medals. He was third in the 800-meter run in 2 minutes, 9.83 seconds and third in the 3200-meter run in 10:41.93.
Marmaton Valley’s Carlos Gonzales also picked up a bronze medal for third in the 200-meter dash. His time was 24.87 seconds.
Zack English of Marmaton Valley placed fourth in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles in 46.35 seconds.
The Wildcat 4×100-meter relay team of Lucas Hamlin, Chase Dudley, Garrett Booth and Gonzales was fifth in 48.92 seconds. Hamlin, Gonzales and English combined with Louk to place fifth in the 4×400-meter relay race in 3:47.91.
Dudley took fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 37’11”. Kaleb Stroud was sixth in the shot put at 37’9” and English took fifth in the javelin at 119’6”.
The Wildcat “weight” relay team of Jared Kale, Stroud, Nathan Smart and Nick Trollope won the race in 54.73 seconds.
On the girls’ side, Marmaton Valley’s Ashtynn Louk finished sixth in the 3200-meter run in 14:22.
Uniontown’s Kelli Wilkinson placed fourth in the 3200-meter run and fifth in the 1600-meter run. Jana Wilkinson was sixth in the 1600.
Abby Dixon of Uniontown earned a silver medal in the discus and a bronze medal in the javelin. Danisha Robinson was sixth in the shot put.
Marmaton Valley goes to the Yates Center High Invitational Tuesday. Marmaton Valley and Uniontown are at the Waverly Invitational on April 16 in Burlington.
