OSWEGO — Uniontown High’s Eagles placed sixth at Monday’s Oswego Varsity Invitational golf tournament. Marmaton Valley High’s Wildcats only had three golfers in the event so did not have a team score.
Marmaton Valley’s Lane Hamm shot a 103 followed by Uniontown’s Seth Sympson with a 104 and Chance Hoener at 106. Shooting a 112 was Brenden Wood of Uniontown.
Joey Jefferis, Marmaton Valley, carded a 116 and teammate Anthony Tucker came in with a 125.
Uniontown’s Zach Travis finished with a 127 followed by teammate Drew George at 133.
On Tuesday, Marmaton Valley’s junior varsity golfers competed in the West Franklin High School junior varsity tournament in Pomona and finished in a close second to Lawrence’s Bishop Seabury.
Bishop Seabury won with 196 and Marmaton Valley shot a 199.
Hamm was the second-place medalist with a 44 for the nine-hole event. Chance Stevenson earned the sixth-place medal with a 48.
Other MVHS scores were: Mitch Covey, 55; Jefferis, 58; Austin Pinkerton, 65; Mike Swift Plaschka, 52; Tristan Dickerson, 66.
