YATES CENTER — Uniontown High’s junior varsity softball team played Eureka and Yates Center at Yates Center Tuesday.
The Eagle girls defeated Yates Center 14-7 with Mandie Ridge pitching. She gave up three hits, walked six, hit two batters and struck out two.
Uniontown’s 17-hit attack was led by Brittany Tanner, DaNisha Robinson and Jamie Dawson, each with a double.
Uniontown beat Eureka 15-0 as Taylor Wade threw a no-hitter. She walked one batter in the three-inning game.
Regan Weyant had a home run and a double among the Eagles’ 11 hits. Robinson and Raylene Crystal each had a double.
