Cubs JV falls to Labette

The Humboldt junior varsity football team closed out its season on Monday with a tall task, a game against 4A Labette County.

While the Cubs lost the game 26-8, coach Jeremy Weilert was happy that the team got a “great learning experience.”

The team dropped to 2-3 after the loss.

Isiah Coronado had 96 yards on the ground and Ethan Doepke had 25 yards.

Gavin Page passed for 95 yards and a touchdown to Kyle Kobold.

Kobold had 54 yards receiving, Ethan Doepke had 26 yards and Kaden Barnett had eight yards.

Kobold also led the team with 12 tackles while Clay Shannon had three tackles.
