Humboldt baseball and softball each wrapped up a Tri-Valley League title on Monday after the baseball Cubs spit with Caney Valley and softball swept.
For the Lady Cubs, the title is their sixth-straight and the fourth-straight for Humboldt baseball.
Softball won two three-inning games 17-2 and 15-0 and baseball lost game one 3-1 before winning game two 7-4.
The Humboldt teams end their regular season with a 17-3 record.
Softball started game one with 13 runs in the first inning. The Lady Cubs added four more in the second to go up 17-0.
Caney scored two runs in the bottom of the third to get within 15 but it wasnt enough to keep the game afloat.
Brooklyn Ellis got the three-inning win, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks.
Aricah McCall had three hits including a double and Morgan Mauk had two hits. Mauk and McCall had two stolen bases apiece.
In game two, the Lady Cubs scored nine runs in the first quarter and followed that up with five in the second. They ended things with a final, game-ending run in the top of the third while Ellis successfully held Caney Valley scoreless with just four hits.
Mauk had two hits and three stolen bases and Aricah McCall, Sydney Barker and Kirsten Roush each had two hits. McCall, Isabelle Murrow and Maggie Johnson each had a triple.
While softball soared, Humboldt baseball struggled to start thanks in part to their intermittent offensive struggles.
After two scoreless innings in game one, the Cubs and Caney Valley each put up a run in the third.
That would be it scoring-wise for Humboldt as Caney really clamped down in the final four-innings while scoring runs in the fifth and seventh innings to get the 3-1 win.
Xavier Bauer pitched a fine game, despite the loss, allowing three runs (one earned) on six hits and six walks with five strikeouts.
The Cubs had three errors in the game.
