RICHMOND — The road was unkind to Crest High’s teams Tuesday.
The Lady Lancers wound up on the short end of a 53-26 defeat to host Central Heights; Crest’s boys were defeated, 68-38.
Central Heights led 15-0 after one quarter and 39-9 by the break in what became a proverbial fight of the Valkyries for the Lady Lancers.
Lindsay Godderz scored nine and Kayla Hermreck eight to pace Crest. Haylee Beckmon scored six, Vivian Noah added two. Godderz also had five steals on the night.
In the boys’ game, the Vikings pillaged their way to a 19-9 lead after one and 42-21 at the break.
Kobey Miller scored 16 points to go with five rebounds for Crest. Tyson Hermreck scored two with six rebounds and five assists. Karter Miller scored five points. Trevor Church, Ethan Prasko and Ethan Godderz all had three points. Also scoring two each were Stratton McGhee, Ryan Golden and Jack White.
Crest hosts St. Paul on Friday.
