COLBY — Picking up four wins last week in non-conference action behind a mix of a potent offense and strong pitching, Allen Community College has swept week eight of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2.

Winning the Softball Player of the Week awards are ACC’s Bailee Campbell and Camrynn Yardley.

Campbell led the Red Devil offense that erupted for 51 runs over four games last week by going 13-for-16 with three extra-base hits and six runs driven in as the sophomore had at least two hits in all four games.

Recording a pair of four-hit games during the week, Campbell also scored 10 times and was a menace on the base paths by stealing seven bases. For the week, Campbell finished with an .824 on-base percentage.

Camrynn Yardley  was named the KJCCC Division 2 Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Yardley had a massive week in the circle for the Red Devils, picking up the pitching win in all four games for Allen after tossing 18.1 innings and striking out 21 total batters.

Starting in three of the four games, Yardley allowed just one total earned run throughout the week and finished with an average of 8.02 strikeouts per seven innings as the lone earned run allowed came on a home run in the first game of the week against Missouri State-West Plains.

This season, Yardley has 46 total strikeouts in 65.2 innings pitched and a 6-2 record in the circle for Allen.
