Callahan, Houk, Wiley to play in all-star game

PITTSBURG — Iola High’s Kayla Callahan along with Dalton Houk of Marmaton Valley High and Dexter Wiley of Crest High are playing in Sunday’s all-star basketball game. All three are seniors.
The Fifth Annual U.S. Army KSEK/KLKC All-Star Basketball Games are Sunday. The games feature 40 senior boys and girls players from southeast Kansas.
The girls’ game begins at 1 p.m. followed by the boys’ contest.
The games will be at the Pittsburg St. Mary’s-Colgan High School Fieldhouse in Pittsburg.
The 20 girls and 20 boys are divided as equally as possible into two teams — one representing KSEK Radio and the other playing under the KLKC Radio banner.
There will be three-point shooting competitions for both the girls and boys, as well as a boys’ slam dunk contest as part of the afternoon’s festivities.
 Admission to the event is $5.
