Iola High senior Mikal Bossell did not compete in Friday’s 2012 Kansas Class 4A Regional Track Meet.
Bossell was suspended from competition for violating the Iola High School controlled substance policy. He was arrested with two others last Saturday for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop two miles south of Iola.
The arrests were reported in Wednesday’s Register.
Iola High head track coach Marvin Smith told the Register Friday morning that Bossell would not be participating in the regional meet. Bossell ran on the Mustang relays and sprint events.
