Joey Morrisey paced the Pleasanton High Blu-Jays to the team championship of Monday’s Marmaton Valley High Invitational golf tournament. Morrisey shot a 79 on Iola’s Cedarbrook Golf Course to claim the individual title.
Rece Dawson of Jayhawk-Linn was second with an 88. Chris Moore of Erie shot a 90 for third.
Marmaton Valley’s Dalton Houk finished 10th with a 99. Dillon Yeager shot a 105 and Ben Smith had a 107. William Nunnery carded a 112.
Also playing for Marmaton Valley were Anthony Tucker with a 132 and Cameron Ensminger with a 148.
The Wildcats finished fifth with a 423 and Uniontown was sixth at 515.
Uniontown’s Tyler Davidson shot a 123 and Cole George had a 128. Seth Sympson finished at 130 followed by Chance Hoener at 134, Brenton Esslinger at 135 and Seth Bartlett at 158.
Marmaton Valley goes to Oswego on Thursday. Uniontown goes to Mound City Monday.
Uniontown took a team to last Thursday’s Girard JV Invitational finishing fifth at 247.
