RICHMOND — Marmaton Valley Junior High’s Brady Newman tied the MVJH boys’ high jump record Monday. Newman took second in the eighth-grade boys’ high jump, clearing the bar at 5 feet, 6 inches.
Marmaton Valley and Crest Middle School’s track teams competed at Monday’s Central Heights Junior High Invitational track meet.
Newman shares the MVJHS record with Tanner McNutt (2009) and Casey Bishop (2002). Marmaton Valley’s athletes won eight events in the four divisions at the meet.
Crest had three first-place performances in the meet.
