Special Olympics: Track and Field
The ANW Co-op and Allen County special Olympics competed at a track meet in Erie on Wednesday.
Competitors participated in the standing long jump, running long jump, softball, tennis, mens shot put, 50-meter walk, 100-meter walk, 200-meter walk, relay and 10-meter wheelchair.
In the standing long jump, Ethan Bairow finished first, Xavier Burrow finished third, Courtland Sager finished second, Ian Spoor finished second, Alex Morris finished third, Paige Riley finished second, Fayth Simpson finished second, Wolfgang Webber finished first and Brandon Griggs finished second.
In softball, Manuel Doolittle finished first, Johnny Henry finished second, Ty Johnson finished second, Mark Mc-Cullough finished first, Conner Merando finished fourth, Alex Morris finished first, Judy Branstetter finished first, Brandon Griggs finished third, Casey Riebel finished fourth, and Steven Riebel finished third.
In tennis, Dakota Fry finished first, Keegan Hedman finished second, Dakota Knowles finished first, Paige Riley finished first, Fayth Simpson finished second, Laura Simpson finished first and Wolfgang Webber finished first
In the 50-meter walk, Ethan Bairow finished second, Xavier Burrow finished fifth, Keegan Hedman finished second, Johnny Henry finished first, Ty Johnson finished fourth, Conner Merando finished first, Fayth Simpson finished second, Brandon Griggs finished second and Tom Weide finished third.
In the 100-meter walk, Mark McCullough finished first, Laura Simpson finished second, Wolfgang Webber finished third and Judy Branstetter finished second.
Christopher White finished fourth in the mens shot put, Court-land Sager finished third in the 200-meter walk and Dakota Fry and Dakota Knowles finished first in the 10-meter wheelchair race.
Judy Branstetter finished first in the running long jump, Steven Riebel finished first in the 25-meter assisted race walks and Christopher White and Tom Weide finished fourth and third respectively in the mens shot put.
Courtland Sager, Manny Doolittle, Mark McCullough and Paige Riley finished third in the relay and Ty Johnson, Ian Spoor, Ian Webber and Christopher White finished second.
