PITTSBURG — Allen Community College’s Elka Billings and Rachel Bycroft have once again raked in some national hardware.
Billings placed fifth and Bycroft sixth in the 5000-meter run at the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Nationals over the weekend.
Billings broke the 19-minute barrier, finishing in 18 minutes, 59.67 seconds.
Bycroft, meanwhile, finished in 19:47.49.
The feat garnered both of the NJCAA Coaches Assocation All-American status.
ON THE men’s side, Allen’s 4000-meter medley relay team of Devan Crow, Mosinski Lince, Camilo Patino and Butch Greene combined to place fifth with a time of 10:24.15.
The Red Devils’ 4×800-meter relay team of Phillip Seien, Raymon Gonzaelz, Declan Weixelman and Kyle Henry finished 10th with a time of 8:01.38.
The 4×400-meter relay team of Armonda Colome, Lince, Devin McHugh and Patino finished 13th with a time of 3:18.12.
