Allen Community College couldn’t hang with Highland Community College Thursday and was swept by matching scores of 8-0 in both games.
“I feel like we played scared and tense,” said Allen coach Jamie Jensen.
The Red Devils were held to just seven hits combined in the two games with four coming in game one and three in the second game.
Morgan Wayman went 2-for-2 in the opener with a double, but that was the only extra base hit the Red Devils mustered all day,
Allen bounced back on Friday with a win over Ottawa’s junior varsity, 7-2.
Raegan Beckley threw up six scoreless innings in the win. She struck out five batters in the game and only allowed on walk.
Ashley Womack homered for the Red Devils in the ballgame.
Allen will be back in action on Friday went they travel to Brown Mackie College.
