Allen Community College’s soccer teams netted postseason honors aplenty for their work on the pitch this season.
The Red Devil men had seven players earn recognition from the Jayhawk Conference, while the women placed six players on the all-conference teams.
On the men’s side, sophomores Patrick Alouidor and Ayoup Bader led the way. Each was named to the Jayhawk Conference first team.
Alouidor, at forward, led Allen with 15 goals and 33 points. He dished out three assists, and nailed three game-winners for the 8-5-4 Red Devils in 2023.
Bader, another forward, had four goals and five assists on the way to racking up 13 points. He also had a game-winner.
Earning second-team All-Conference recognition was Pedro Da Silva, sophomore forward. He had six goals, two of which were game-winners. Sophomore defenders Pascale Brose and Ted Roberts also earned second-team honors. Brose had a pair of goals on the season. Roberts had an assist.
Goalkeeper Garauf Sandhu earned honorable mention All-Conference recognition. He had a .788 save percentage, with a 1.9 goals-per-game average.
Also earning honorable mention was sophomore midfielder Diego Coronado. He had two goals and two assists on the season.
FRESHMAN Audrey Smith’s big year at forward netted her first-team All-Conference honors. She led the 9-5 Red Devils with eight assists, to go along with four goals.
A quartet of Red Devil women earned second-team honors. Sophomore defender Katherine Hammond had a pair of goals in 2023; Sophomore defender Tanika Rother had a goal. Sophomore Forward Rebecca Lord led ACC with six goals and six assists on the year, including a pair of game-winners.
Goalkeeper Luicca Soania, a freshman, earned honorable mention. She had 49 saves on the year, good for a .754 save percentage. She had four shutouts and averaged 1.5 goals allowed per match.
Vivian Santos, sophomore midfielder, also earned honorable mention. She had four goals and two assists in 2023. honors.
