Maurissa Shafer found the net just once Saturday. But the sophomore’s goal stood up for Allen County Community College’s women.
The Red Devil women beat visiting Coffeyville Community College 1-0. Katie King had an assist on the goal.
Cheace Mahaulu played in goal for the ACCC women. She had four saves.
Coffeyville won the men’s game 2-0. Aurelio Rameriz was in goal for the Red Devils and recorded 12 saves.
Last Wednesday, the Allen County teams were in Great Bend playing against Barton County Community College.
The women lost 2-0 and the ACCC men dropped a 7-1 decision.
Allen County’s women are 5-10-1 overall and the men are 3-11.
This afternoon the Red Devil squads are hosting Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa’s teams.
The women’s game starts at 2 o’clock followed by the men at 4 o’clock.
